Larry grew up in Jena, La. He is an ordained Baptist minister with more than 25 years of experience in social services, mainly in the field of mental health. He has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Grambing College and a master's in divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center through the Morehouse School of Religion affiliate, with concentrations in pastoral care and counseling and social ethics. He also hold a certificate in clinical pastoral education through Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City.
In addition to directing the Water Ministry, Larry also serves in the Alexandria Department of Parks and Recreation, working in an after-school program for middle schoolers.
Larry has four brothers and one sister, a married daughter and two grandchildren.
