In this small group we will share poems that have been significant in our spiritual quest, and learn from one another’s experience of the spiritual power of poetry.
Please note: This class meets for 90-minute sessions and is limited to 15 participants. Please submit the poem of your choice in advance to jhutcheson@columba.org so copies can be made.
The Rev. Martin Smith, Associate Rector, The Rev. Janet Vincent, Rector, and The Rev. Dr. Roger Ferlo, Professor at Virginia Theological Seminary and noted interpreter of English religious poetry, will take turns as presenters in the group.

Using resources developed in conjunction with the NPR program “On Being with Krista Tippett,” we will consider two great scientific thinkers, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein, in the interweaving narrative of religion and science in the modern age. Join us for an engaging dialogue in matters of science and faith, exploring ethics, spirituality and basic questions of meaning in the context of our own lives.
