We are a community of women who seek to strengthen our faith by sharing our experiences as mothers. We meet in fellowship to discuss the realities of motherhood—the challenges and blessings—and to hear from guest speakers on topics such as spirituality, the practice of faith, parenting and work/life balance. Our gatherings are relaxed, and an open and honest sharing of ideas is encouraged.
The Mothers’ Group offers two meeting times from September through May. Our Mothers’ Group PM meets on Sunday evening once a month from 6 to 8 pm in Room 203. (Check our online calendar for dates.) Our Wednesday morning gathering time is weekly from 9:45 to 11:15 am in Room 203 On Wednesday morning, child care is provided for children one year and older; infants are welcome to remain with their mothers during the meetings. We currently do not offer childcare on Sunday evenings. We try to alternate between fellowship, which is more social in nature, and programming, which is when we have guest speakers leading discussions on matters important to our group.
In addition to our regular meetings, the Mothers’ Group offers a variety of activities throughout the year including summer potluck dinners, ad hoc movie outings, a Christmas dinner, and retreat weekends (usually fall and spring). We have a listserv that keeps everyone up to date with events and news relevant to our members. Come join us sometime soon—we would love to meet you!
Schedule:
Every Wednesday morning (September through May) from 9:45 to 11:30 am Child care is provided.
One Sunday evening a month (September through May) from 6 to 8 pm. Child care is not provided.
