Be a part of A/V
A/V Guild members have a largely invisible but vital role each Sunday: they make sure that all parishioners can hear and see what’s going on during services and forums. If you can navigate a DVR or adjust the volume on your car stereo, you have more than enough technical skill to operate our camera and microphones. Most volunteers serve once a month at the service they regularly attend. We’re especially looking for people who’d like to help with sound and recording at Sunday Forums. 8 am Eucharist in the Church Nave
This early service has a quiet and intimate style, celebrated without music but with a sermon.
Sunday Child Care
Child care is available for infants and children through age 3 from 10:15 to 11:45 am every summer Sunday (early June through early September).
9:15 am Eucharist for pre-school children and their families in the Great Hall
This family-friendly, 30-minute service, one of two offered each Sunday morning in the Great Hall, is a rich worship experience for young children and their parents, grandparents and guardians. Everyone participates in lively singing, action and movement, and the children gather in front of the altar for an engaging presentation of the Gospel story and the offering of prayers. Children enjoy a thoroughly age-appropriate style of worship and all may receive Holy Communion. Experiencing the Great Hall services is a great preparation for taking part in the 9 am Eucharist in the church nave when children reach school age.
10:30 am Eucharist in the Church Nave
This celebration of the Eucharist might be described as our most formal of the day but still, it is relaxed in flow and features some of our best musical talents. Our adult choirs, the St. Columba’s Singers and the Singers Ensemble, are sometimes joined by handbell choirs and orchestra to put forth the best of Anglican music as well as music from diverse traditions. Good preaching, vibrant congregational singing and deep prayer rounds out the last Sunday morning service in the church nave.
5 pm Eucharist in the Church Nave
This late afternoon service has an intimate style; we gather around the altar for the Eucharistic prayer and communion. Worship includes hymns and occasional offerings by solo singers and instrumentalists. On the first Sunday of the month our youth lead the music and set the tone for our last worship service of the day.
