Daytime Singers
Singing together lessens anxiety, stimulates memory, increases lung capacity, promotes social bonding, and builds a sense of belonging and joy. It “fosters trust, cooperation, and social cohesion” while supporting “total growth of the human being.” Beginning in September, St. Columba’s will offer Daytime Singers on Thursdays from 11 - noon.
The group will focus on the benefits and joy of singing through warm-ups, breathing exercises, group vocal techniques, songs, and anthems. It is open to the parish and community, and welcomes singers of all abilities.
Work from home? Take an hour from your day to experience the benefits of group singing. Kids in school? Connect with a community of singers to share a little joy before pick-up. Have free time on a weekday morning? Join your voice with others who love to sing.
