Opportunities for Engagement
Engage In Our Community
The plan is to create this Guild through volunteers and set up a calendar of dates when the work would be done (estimated to be a few hours every two weeks but, with experience, may be less frequently). Additional dates to do sprucing up just prior to funerals would be added, as needed. Members would sign up to serve for a year and then would select the dates on which they would serve (with always the opportunity to ask to trade dates with other members when conflicts occur). This would be a great activity for teams of parishioners (including Youth Group members), families and those with loved ones interred in the site. Serving only about one time every 3 months is anticipated with a reasonable number of people signing up.
Final landscaping work is about to be completed. We are now asking Individuals and families to sign up to participate. We will hold an informational tour of the site so those potentially interested could better understand what is involved and ask any questions.

Columbarium Guild Opportunity
Help us share St. Columba's love with the world.
Yes, the doors are now open, but we have an online community to feed as well. St. C's is seeking individuals who will learn the production equipment for live streaming Sunday Service, managing the sound system during courtyard worship, taking photographs, as well as producing other St.Columba's inspired content.

The Refugee Response Ministry (RRM) is looking at possible options for compassionate, intentional engagement in the crisis surrounding our Afghan brothers and sisters, including possibly working with the diocese in some capacity. In the meantime, we are finalizing logistics for putting together "Welcome Home" boxes in connection with Lutheran Social Services to help families set up their new home. Please listen for more details coming out from the RRM soon. For more information or to get involved, click the link below and someone from RRM will reach out with more information as soon as its available. Afghan Refugee Response 2021
